January 2015 in Seattle

While the Northeastern part of the U.S. is bracing for major winter storms, the Pacific Northwest is experiencing record heat.  I visited Seward Park in Seattle today and the beauty around me was stunning.

    1. Today the park was full of kids playing, bikers, joggers, people sitting peacefully, etc.

I love that picture of the sun too. And I really like a photo I will be using for Wordless Wednesday this week.

I can never get the photo I want to take of Mt. Rainier. The shots of the mountain I have in this gallery are really nice, but sometimes it looks SO close. That never happens at a place where I can stop and take a photo.

Trying to get that perfect picture has taken me on interesting journeys though, like today’s walk in Seward Park.

      1. That is so true. Mount Rainier will pop up into my view looking gigantic and there is nowhere to stop. A half a block away it may be invisible because of trees or a dip in the road or may appear so far away. I have yet to be able to take a photo of it looking close.

    1. It has been really nice for me since I’ve come back from India so recently. Going from hot to cold is very jolting. This year it has been mainly 50’s and now a few 60’s.
