Do you recognize this plant?

I saw one of these plants in a garden in Amritapuri, India.  The gardeners wondered what type of plant it was and I didn’t have a clue but said I would try to find out.  Do you any of you know?  (You can click on the photo and then click the zoom to enlarge it even further!)

    1. I’m back, but half asleep. Slept Saturday night from 9 p.m. to midnight and on Sunday from 6 a.m. to noon. Last night I slept from midnight to four but was awake every hour. India is 13 1/2 hours ahead of U.S. so night and day are reversed.

      1. I’ve answered some client emails but haven’t had any appointments. I will start with a group tonight.

At some point during the day the exhaustion descends to overwhelming extent. At that point I’ve been taking a two hour nap (something I don’t do at any other time of year).

I’ve been working on unpacking and finishing the blogs from the trip and other reentry activities. I have no choice but to take it easy!

  1. Don’t know… looks like it might be in the Salvia family?
Slept from 7:30 pm on Sat. to 1:30 pm on Sunday, with a few short wake up intervals!!! Can’t remember ever sleeping so much. Sooooo exhausted. Feel like a zombie and my brain is trying to make sense of the sudden silence surrounding me!

    1. Wow…. I’m impressed. I slept good between 6 a.m. and noon yesterday but otherwise am waking up ever hour in the 3 to 4 hours I try to sleep.

I certainly feel the same as you in terms of being exhausted and feeling like a zombie, except after having gotten a short period of good sleep. Getting better each day though.
